Karen Webber is a marketing consultant and the founder of Goodness Marketing, on a mission to rescue good people from bad marketing.
She works with everyone from local small businesses to national clients, offering strategy, implementation and mentoring. She also runs the Do Crew, a members’ community for business owners who want to get their marketing done together.
South African by birth, Karen misses the sea every day. But walking in the Peaks, going to the gym and reading in her hammock make for a pretty good life in Stockport – especially shared with her husband, two busy boys and Betsy the Barketing Assistant. One day she’ll write The Book. For now she sends out a weekly marketing email for small businesses with big hearts.
Leyla is a graphic designer based in Stockport, specialising in brand and web design (and everything in between).
With a love of joyful branding, she combines strategy with clean, vibrant design to help businesses show up with clarity and confidence.
Outside of work, Leyla can usually be found playing guitar, heading to gigs, dreaming of the ocean, walking in the Peak District or squeezing in allll the boardsports (though she’s yet to take up skateboarding). She also writes The Happy Palette, a monthly(ish) newsletter sharing branding ideas, creative inspiration and stories from freelance life.

The 'why' behind Cowork Crew is to help the self-employed and folk who work from home get out of the home office/coffee shop/kitchen table and enjoy some of the camraderie you used to get from colleagues.
The speaker topics and our general content will always be aimed at freelancers, founders and business owners, but we love meeting new faces. And if you work from home and fancy a day's company you are very welcome to join us.
We get it, we work for ourselves for many reasons, including schedule flexibility.
Come for as much of the day as makes sense for you.
You can bring lunch with you, or take the day-out excuse to nip to a local lunch spot.
Make sure you leave some room, as we’ll have cake to pick us all up during that mid-afternoon slump!
You’re welcome to take a call during Cowork Crew day. You can tuck yourself slightly out of the ‘main’ space in the breakout space if you want to avoid sitting around others while chatting.
We don’t have a completely private space available (as in a completely separate room) however, so it’s probably not the best time to run a webinar!
The benefits of spending a day coworking together go well beyond getting work done.

They are a 3 minute walk to Spinningfields, Deansgate train station and Salford Central.
